They ARE NOT COVERED fully under the student health insurance. Do not go here if you are a student under any circumstances. Go ask the Health Info centre in the SUB for a list of the dentists in the city that are fully covered. I’d never been charged while using the student plan before I went here, then when I finished they said I owed like $40. Go to one of the dentists in this photo and you won’t have to pay
I had a great experience today!! Everyone was very nice and ensured understanding of everything that was being done! My hygienist was very funny and chatted a lot which I loved, it was very distracting and fun!
I have been going there over 15 years. I always have a good experience and leave with great satisfaction after each visit. All the staff are friendly and helpful.
Would not recommend this dentist. Friendly staff, but I went to have one tooth checked, and I left with the conclusion that I needed seven fillings and to have four teeth removed. I was shocked considering my dental history, and I therefore decided to consult two other dentists in town. Both of them completely dismissed the conclusion from UVic Dental. Dentists are super inexperienced. Had a terrible experience, they put way too much anesthesia, didn’t do adjustments properly, and it felt like I was my dentists first patient. 4 months later, 2 of my teeth are still hurting. I went back for adjustments TWICE, and still it didn’t make a difference. My dentist was really young, he seemed more interested in a conversation with the nurse about his vacation plans rather than fixing my teeth. Besides that, the staff were really good and professional.
