Went to him at walk in for some symptoms I’ve been having for over a year. Bloating and vomiting that doesn’t seem to go away. My family doctor will not listen to me and the ER wants everyone out as soon as they came in. Would not order tests for me to figure out my symptoms because it is a walk in and I have a family doctor. Said that he doesn’t do the long term care as a walk in. Our first appointment was as easy as before Covid-19 pandemic happened. Any other walk-in clinic we go to, it would take hours like you go to emergency department in an hospital and they tell you wait time is four hours or sometimes even longer.
I’m really disappointed with the service at Legacies Health Centre in North Vancouver. I had a phone call appointment with a doctor and waited for almost an hour with no call, no message, and no heads-up that they were running late. I tried calling multiple times during that hour, but no one answered—and the clinic closes at 3:40 PM, which made it even more frustrating. I called to possibly see how soon I could have my results read to me as I was sick in the ER two days ago. The physician was away for two more weeks with zero replacement. Very disappointed in this clinic that they would not set up an alternate doctor or have quite literally any other way to help while he is away.
We had an exceptionally negative experience. My pregnant wife and I received substandard treatment from the attending physician. When I requested my medical records, I was charged $130 for seven pages. This led me to consider three possibilities: 1.they are actively discouraging patients from requesting records 2.they are prioritizing profit 3 their ink costs are extraordinarily high (which we all know is not the case)......
