We were refered to Dr Rao. Totally a money scam. He quoted work to be done (without xray), which 2 other dentist could not find anything wrong with those said teeth. There was nothing wrong with 11 of the 12 teeth. We knew 1 cavity going in, he brought it up to 12 plus caps and pulling teeth after literally a 5 min appointment. She's 4 and very very clean teeth. Plus the outrageous fees he charges ontop of the 100% dental we have. He has zero bedside manor and wanted to sedate my child, as if I would let someone so rude do s... read more
I’m 9 years old. Dr. Rao said I had two cavities that had to be filled and made me feel very uncomfortable. When I went to a new dentist (who is great) He said my teeth we’re fine! I think he is after your money so get a second opinion.
PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION!!! Do not trust this Dr. Rao with your child's teeth. I'm sorry to say this but he is only after your money! Unfortunately, our family was new to the city and we had our child do the typical regular bi-yearly check up with a local dentist who then referred us to Dr. Rao as he apparently specializes in pediatric dentistry. Our child always has seen a dentist since the age of 8 months bi-yearly as recommended. We never had issues with our child's teeth/mouth. The teeth were brushed twice a day and o... read more
This dentist is always late. Even as the first appointment of the day! No apologies. He told us that our 4 year old definitely has 5 cavities, possibly 9. Told us the only option for treatment was general anesthetic at the clinic near their offices at a cost of $600 plus. When asking for alternative options due to cost and concern over GA the receptionist suggested I ask family or our church for the money as this was the only option. I am seeking second opinion before making a choice to put my son under a general anesthetic ... read more
Never again! He proceeded to tell us we needed 5 caps?! - she just had a coating put onto her teeth and no cavities 6 months ago!!! He also wanted to sedate our child under and do them all at once because she was 'squirmy' and it would be 'easier'. When we did ask questions, he was hard to understand and very evasive. He just wanted to book the next appointment. We have full coverage and that makes me wonder if that is why he recommended such an aggressive treatment. We will be getting a second opinion. Avoid if you can.
Won't see Dr. Rao again if I have better choice of pediatric dentist. He only spent very minimum time on each patient, with no explanation at all. Don't seem to be very patient. The first time we saw him, he said my 2 year old son has tooth decay and need treatment, and asked us to make decision, not to even explained to us which tooth is decayed. Not to mention that we have waited 30 minutes longer than our scheduled time. No apology at all.
the worst ever seen. I asked him a question about my daughter toothache, and his answer is " you won't understand even I told you the answer".
