He was the worest doctor I’ve ever seen. So sad that why I didn’t check the review before sign the stupid contract. He is nice at the first consulting and after that he is cold and rude. And his staff are also faked being nice, especially the receptionist . The only nice one is the new one they just recruited.
Staff is friendly and amazing. Pocock seems like he's running a sweat shop. You rarely get helped by him, and he's not approachable or easy to talk to. Quick one word answers and no bed side manor. He's also never around so sometimes you have to wait up to two months for simple appointments which delays your treatment. I wish I went elsewhere. He's friendly upon first meeting but after that, cold/ fake.
Dr, Pocock is one pompous dude. He is incredibly proud of himself, almost to the exclusion of all others....certainly to the exclusion of his patients. He runs a factory with the sole focus of making tons of money which I'm sure he does. He is short...almost insolent with patients and patients' parents alike. He must have skipped classes in dental school when the students were taught how to treat people.
He is extremely rude and he told me to shh my mouth when I asked him a simple question
He is honestly so bad!! All he cares about is money and going on stupid vacations. His stupid vacations are long af and waste valuable time patients could be having appointments. I understand everyone should have vacations but he takes enough for all of north Van. The girls so bad and if they are being nice it's ridiculously fake. Basically 10/10 DONT recommend. Go eat one pocock
Although most of his staff is very nice, Dr. Pockock himself is very cold and rude. I would go somewhere else if I was starting out.
My daughter is a current patient of Dr Pocock and I find most of the staff generally okay to deal with with the exception of Jan - the receptionist/bookkeeper. She is rude and condescending and instead of maintaining and obtaining new business it seems like she is more than happy to repel current patients. As much as I hate switching orthodontists in the middle of a treatment plan, I feel we must because of this woman. I had metal braces put on around 12 years ago. Dr. Pocock's staff member, while taking off one of my metal brackets, chipped my tooth. Because I was quite young at the time, I didn't know that this was not a normal situation. Though the tip of my tooth was missing, I was a timid child and they told me it wasn't a big deal and did not mention this mishap to my parents. Dr. Pocock was my orthodontist as a child (I am 30 now). I still remember how cold and condescending he was to me on a regular basis. I began treatment when I was just 8 years old, and I can't remember another adult ever being so dismissive and visibly frustrated with me.
